Exploring the AI+ Expo 2025 in Washington D.C

Jul 21, 2025

The 2nd annual AI+ Expo 2025, held on July 2–4, 2025 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., stood out among the nation’s premier AI events for its focus on policy regulation, national security, and ethical governance of AI. The Expo served not only as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies but also as a forum to address the broader implications of AI on economic competitiveness and federal policy.

One of the standout exhibits was DARPA’s triage competition, where autonomous drones demonstrated real-time casualty rescue scenarios, highlighting AI applications in healthcare when medical resources are limited relative to the need.

The event drew policymakers and industry leaders to discuss AI’s role in autonomous systems, public health, and national security, including vendors like Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Bright Machines, and Tesla.

Washington CORE’s team gathered key insights at the event for a white paper focused on AI’s real-world applications in energy, manufacturing, defense, and healthcare, reflecting our commitment to tracking cross-sector innovation and identifying emerging opportunities for our clients.

The full white paper was shared with a small number of clients and is available on request.
