Hosting a Group of Next Generation Leaders from Japan

Jan 29, 2020

Washington CORE hosted a group of 25 Japanese students from Chuo University’s new department of “Global Business Management,” as well as five students currently studying at American University. Washington CORE staff gave inspiring presentations encouraging the students to consider pursuing global careers.

The presentations highlighted the importance of digital skills and lifelong learning, as well as advice on pursuing consulting careers in the United States.

The students, led by Professor Masakazu Watanuki of Chuo University, were excited by the presentations, and some remarked that they had been motivated to pursue international careers.

The next group from the university, arriving in D.C in Spring 2020, is expected to be even larger than this one. This development is indicative of the increasingly global mindset of the young people in Japan. Washington CORE cherishes these encounters and regularly seeks to promote mutually enriching engagements among our diverse staff, clients and broader community.
